Turnbuckle for Sailboats.
Handle-operated Turnbuckle.
Nemo produces three different models of turnbuckles (for 8 to 10 mm cables), all fitted with a pinion with an octagonal clutch, which allows the turnbuckle to be operated by means of a standard winch handle.
The special stainless steel thrust bearings and self-lubricating bronze bushes can support high traction loads, guaranteeing maximum sliding and minimum operating effort.
The external body is in stainless steel and an extra-thick anodised light alloy.
The new turnbuckle (code 212.715) is produced with bulk production technologies, so costs are kept down while aesthetic standards remain high.
“Standard” arm-operated Turnbuckle.
Available for cables of 5 to 8 mm diameter. The folding arms guarantee compact dimensions while allowing maximum force.
The components are made in peralluman aluminium, 316 stainless steel and self-lubricating bronze with delrin bushes.
“Quick release” arm-operated Turnbuckle.
The “quick-release” version features a spring snap that rapidly connects and disconnects the stay from the chain plate, so sails can be changed more quickly.
Their use is ideal with foresails or any flying stay.
