SPLIT DRUM
The drum can easily be dismantled (just unscrew the 3
“quick-threaded” and “leak-proof” screws to separate the two
halves of the drum and the furling-line guide) which, in just a
few seconds, allows you to transform your “WONDERFURL” into a
forestay ready to tack your sail at deck height to make use of
the entire sail area and increase the performance of your
sailing boat. |

TACK SWIVEL FOR REEFING
The lower tack swivels on two ball-bearings which
enables the sail to be at the right tension even when it
is furled. In fact the sail shape will become flatter as
it is furled, so that it always maintains maximum
efficiency. |
SIMPLE AND FAST TO INSTALL
The “spring lock” assembly system with intermediate
profiles means that anyone can install “WONDERFURL” with
just a few simple operations. It is not even necessary
for the cable to be re-spliced since the stay will not
be modified in any way. The special “assembly spring” is
particularly important to avoid gradual “loosening” of
the profile, a frequent occurrence with the traditional
system of assembly with screws. In fact, this particular
spring guarantees a perfect hold even when subject to
continual vibration which, during navigation, is
principally concentrated in the centre-longitudinal area
of the profile. |
THE MATERIALS
Only AISI – 316 stainless steel is used. While for the
joint, with a polycarbonate sliding core, the extrusions
and all the other aluminium parts PERALLUMAN and
extrusion in UNI 6061 alloy have been used to guarantee
excellent resistance at high loads of torsion,
compression, flexion and traction.
Furthermore, 8 roller bearings with a delrin sphere
guarantee smooth movement even when subject to tension. |
SWIVEL HEAD
Traction-stress between the halyard and the sail is born
by 4 different ball-bearings to guarantee fluidity even
when the halyard is under maximum stress. |
CIRCULAR PROFILE
The circular profile (with double sail groove) is the
main characteristic of the “WONDERFURL” jib furler, from
the easiness of installation to its performance while
sailing. |
